The combination of sweet and tangy pineapple along with ripe mangoes can make you feel like you have transported to  a tropical island.  It has been the best way to cool down after being out in the 90+ degree heat.

Tropical Citrus Sorbet Recipe

Servings: Creates about 2 servings 

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Freeze time(optional step): 1+ hours

Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks

  • 1 cup frozen mango chunks

  • 1/4 cup water or other liquid like fresh orange juice or coconut water or milk

  • Garnish: lime slice and mint leaves (optional)

Directions

  1. Blend the mango chunks and pineapple until smooth. Gradually add a splash of liquid to help blend the sorbet 

  2. Serve immediately for a "soft serve" sorbet version, or freeze(~1 hour +) the fruit mix for a more firmer sorbet version.
